A Small Point Of View

Lost in the wilderness,
Crying all alone again,
With only trees to pass my time.

Strange noises confuse my every word.
Showing me a whole new world
Laughing at my every move.

Flowers of every color,
Tease my tired eyes,
Pushing me to the ground.

Birds of rage scream from above.
Suspiciously eyeing my every breath.
Standing on guard,
Commanding me to breathe their air.

Sleeping in beds of twigs and leaves,
Never cleaner than dirty,
Me, only a small, small mouse.
